About Salem High School Fencing League
The league is an outreach project of Salem Classical Fencing. It is a community-based club sport that is recognized by the school district, but completely independent of Salem-Keizer School District. We receive no school district funds and rely solely on participation fees and donations to fund the league's activities.
Details
- The 2011 season will open on January 10th with one week of training camp (practice every day from 4-6 pm).
- Weekly meets are every Wednesday, beginning on January 12th and running through March 16th with the final Championship on Saturday, March 19th. (See below for a link to a printable schedule of meets.)
- Practices are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at SCF from 4-5 p.m.
- The cost to participate is $100 and includes all equipment (for foil) and instruction. Need-based scholarships are available.
